Today's Testing
Aimschaser fires up for the first time at NHTC-1.
Earlier today, Exela Space Industries' New Hampshire branch (Jackson R. Codair Testing and Production Facility) completed initial ground testing of the first Aimschaser demonstrator. This is the first time that we have performed any type of test with Aimschaser or any winged vehicle here at Exela. The Codair Testing and Production Facility has been building this Aimschaser prototype (AC-099) for a few weeks now in preparation for this test. This test verified the interim thrust structure of the vehicle, wing joints, and landing gear. Future tests of AC-099 are possible, but it is also possible that we move on to a new vehicle.
Aimschaser Info
Official Aimschaser Logo
Aimschaser is an aerial testbed being developed by Exela Space Industries. The vehicle will be launched on a future Exela rocket that is yet to be announced. The current Aimschaser prototype that is being tested, AC-099, is a very early prototype and is only a testbed for the most basic of systems aboard the vehicle. Future Aimschaser prototypes will feature more of the systems that will be present in the final vehicle.
