Beginning Rockets

The start of something big

SimplyRocket

Our first rocket that completed 2 flights from New Hampshire.

Flight 1: Tested aerodynamics and getting to 1,000ft in altitude. (C6-5) (Complete)

Flight 2: Tested out our recovery system at a height of 300ft. (A10-3T) (Complete)

(Retired)

SoberRocket

Our 2-stage rocket that will test our in-flight separation systems for Aims-1 and provide experience for a possible two stage variant of Aims-1.

This rockets first stage will run on a E12-0 solid rocket motor and the 2nd stage will run on a D12-5 solid rocket motor.

(Cancelled)

Infinity

Our mid-powered rocket that will test out carrying payloads on our rockets.

Only Flight: Launched on a E12-6 solid rocket motor from Amesbury, MA on November 12th. It was fully recovered.

(Retired)

SoberRocket Heavy

SoberRocket Heavy will be our most complex rocket yet, aside from Aims-1. The 1st stage of flight will run on 4 E12-4 solid rocket motors for the side boosters and a F15-0 solid rocket motor for the core stage. After all of the side boosters burn out they will separate from the vehicle as the core stage burns for a few more seconds. After core stage burnout, it will separate and the second stage will fire, bringing the rocket to a height of about 1km or 3,280ft. The second stage will run on a D12-7 solid rocket motor. The vehicle stands at a height of 7ft and will be launching from Ohio next year.

(Cancelled)

Zipper Rockets

The rockets that never launched.

Zipper-1

Zipper-1 was a water powered rocket that planned on doing many flights from Wyoming, DE.

Many pressure test were completed but on one test a dent formed on the nosecone of the vehicle and was not fixable. This caused a cancellation of this rocket.

Zipper-2

Zipper-2 was a low powered model rocket that ran on D & E class rocket motors. A launch was scheduled for May 20th, 2023 but the vehicle was left outside in the rain which made it not usable and caused the cancellation of the rocket. An engine test for this rocket did occur in early May of 2023.

Zipper-3

Zipper-3 was a high powered model rocket that was going to give us our L1 certification. This rocket was cancelled a couple weeks after it was announced because Outers Redshift rocket was going to complete the L1 instead.
